Dog Kennel M972 – LP® SmartSide® – 77 x 116 cm – Durable and Stylish for Large Dogs
Why choose the Dog Kennel M972?
The dog kennel M972 is a modern, elegant and extremely durable solution for your faithful four-legged companion. With its minimalist design, the kennel fits perfectly into a garden, a yard or any outdoor space, and stays comfortable throughout the year. Thanks to LP® SmartSide® panels with advanced thermal insulation technology, your dog is protected from the damp cold of winter in the north (Minho, Porto, Braga), from the intense summer heat of the Algarve and Alentejo, and from the frequent rain in the centre of the country. Ideal for large breeds, it offers a clean, dry surface with none of the warping and cracking problems of traditional wooden kennels.
In Portugal the climate changes from one region to another — hot and dry in the south, damp air along the coast, extreme temperatures inland — so dog owners look for a wooden dog kennel that is tough, low-maintenance and well insulated. The Dog Kennel M972 stands out on exactly those points: it does not rot, does not crack in the sun, does not attract insects or fungi, and stays stable for years. It is easy to maintain and lasts far longer.
Exceptional durability – LP® SmartSide® technology
LP® SmartSide® panels are manufactured with the exclusive SmartGuard® process, which keeps the structure resistant to mould, water ingress, warping, temperature swings and moisture. That resistance holds up just as well in the damp air of Cascais and Sintra as in the dry heat of Évora.
The main properties of LP® SmartSide®:
- Extreme resistance to warping and sun damage to the surface
- Full protection against fungi, mould and wood-boring insects
- High resistance to UV and temperature (strong sun, rain, occasional snow)
- Low maintenance – a quality acrylic paint is all it needs
- Roof and panels waterproof against prolonged rain and hard-wearing
Key components of the panels:
- Zinc borate: an effective barrier against fungi and insects
- Marine epoxy resin: resistance to impact and extreme temperatures
- Water-repellent wax: extra protection against moisture and rain
- Wood-textured coating: a solid base for painting and extra protection
This technology makes the dog kennel LP® SmartSide® is ideal for the changing weather of mainland Portugal, keeping the interior safe and warm.
Thermal insulation and comfort all year round
Thanks to the LP® SmartSide® panels and the LP® ProStruct® floor with SmartFinish® coating, this dog kennel M972 offers superior thermal insulation. Your dog stays warm in winter (with no cold draughts) and cool in summer (with no build-up of heat). The panels keep their shape far better than traditional timber. Important: the panels should be painted with a quality exterior acrylic paint, as the product is delivered unpainted so you can personalise it.
